Ellery's 8 months old & we live with the animal whisperer!

Ellery turned 8 months old last week, but I haven't posted any pictures since then. She's growing up so quickly. She's now able to pull herself up to her knees from a sitting position. Now if only we could get her to sleep at night! Her sleeping has gotten worse not better. The last week or so she's been getting up about every 1-2 hours all night. Needless to say we're all very tired. Things have gotten so bad that we're going to the doctor tomorrow to get some help...you name it, we've tried it! I think spring has finally arrived here in the Arctic! We've been able to spend some time working outside in the yard and going for a few walks. We have a ton of daffodils and tulips that are about to bloom. This week we're getting ready to go on vacation! Ellery and I leave Sunday and Jason leaves on Wednesday. We're spending a week at the beach in Galveston, TX with my family to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. So, I won't be adding any posts until after we get back. The biggest excitement in the last week has been our new neighbors...a pair of mallard ducks. We've all had a lot of fun watching them. They've spent a lot of time in our yard and in our tree, but we're not sure where they're nesting. We also have a pregnant bunny in our yard and a pair of squirrels...I've decided Jason's called them all to our house! Maybe they know we're baby friendly!

Ellery supervising our yard work.

A rare glimpse of Ellery sleeping.

Ellery and Mommy self portrait...didn't turn out too well. But, I almost never put a picture of myself up so I thought I'd try.

This picture cracks me up!

Ellery is still into her drum.

The hair bow didn't last too long...

Ellery and her Roll-A-Rounds...trying to get her to crawl...

Standing by herself while holding onto the rocket.

Ellery laughs and laughs when Jason uses his owl call.

Daddy's girl.

Ripping daddy's face off.

Our male duck in our front yard.

The female duck way up in our pine tree.

Our ducks "chatting" this morning.

What can I say...they like it here!
