Busy Busy Busy

I'm embarrassed to see that I haven't updated The Curious George in a month...that's pretty sad. We've been very busy working around the house and being parents to a very demanding little girl. We've finally had some nice weather mixed in with a ton of rain so we've been able to spend time outside working. We've put in a patio, a gazebo, a garden, a flowerbed, transplanted a bunch of plants, trimmed our big pine tree, took out the front bushes, planted flowers and painted trim in the kitchen. I think that's everything...it makes me tired to think about all of it....but we still have a ton of work to do. Ellery has changed a ton in the past month. She can crawl and stand on her own without holding onto anything for about 10 seconds. I have a feeling that walking isn't too far off. She has also expanded her vocabulary a lot. She now says "da da", "ma ma", "na na" (Hannah), "ki ki" (kitty kitty) and "hi". She can also clap her hands and she'll occasionally wave. A month ago she could say "da da", but she couldn't say or do anything else! Crazy! Last weekend we went camping at Lake Rathbun in south central Iowa, it was awful. It was cold and raining most of the time. We ended up coming home a day early. I've attached some pictures of everything we've been doing.

Pebbles

Our new patio and gazebo. I've added a chandelier, table cloth and mosquito netting since I took this picture.

Some of the morels Jason found. He ended up with about 5 pounds.

Ellery and her friend Carter on a play date.

Ellery crawling.

Ellery raking the yard with dad's help.

Oops, this picture is obviously the wrong way. Grandpa and Ellery camping.

This picture says it all...I look horrible (tired and covered in Ellery's dinner) and it's raining outside. But, Ellery enjoyed her bath in grandma's sink.

Ellery with bed head.

Ellery clapping.

This is a new trick...she climbs the couch to get to the baby in the picture.

Ellery and daddy playing in the yard on Memorial Day. You can see my flowerbed in the background. It still needs more flowers and mulch.
