It's been two weeks since I posted anything and I'm having a hard time remembering what we've been up to. Jason's uncle John and aunt Ramona came for a visit two weekends ago. My mom was nice enough to watch Ellery Saturday morning so the four of us could go fishing on the river. A cold front had just passed through, so fishing was terrible. Jason caught 1 catfish and I caught 1 walleye. John and Ramona didn't catch anything. The funny thing was that I was sitting there paying no attention to fishing, just holding on to the fishing rod Jason gave me....the fish basically found me. It was a beautiful day to be on the river if you were bundled up.
We also went to a local winery that opened a few years ago. We had a great weekend, and really enjoyed having John and Ramona.
Last weekend we went to Davenport on Saturday. It was another beautiful day, so we were dumb and spent the day walking around the mall. On Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch over in Illinois. It was a really cute place. They had a pumpkin patch, corn mazes, animals to pet and games for older kids. The kittens were so friendly, it was amazing. They let any little kid carry them around. We ended up picking out 6 pumpkins. All of them are different sizes and colors. Ellery had a great time running around getting dirty.
This Tuesday Jason and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Grandma and grandpa are going to watch Ellery on Saturday so we can go out for a nice dinner. I think we're going to try a place we keep hearing about in Dubuque.
That about sums up the last two weeks around here! I want to mention one last thing....next Tuesday Jason is starting classes at Ashford University. Ellery and I are so proud of him. He only has 2 years left going 1 night a week. It'll be over before we know it!
A girl can never have too many sunglasses! Ellery likes to wear both of them at the same time. I think this would make a great ad for Land Eye Center!
