It's been snowing off and on for 4 days now! When we got home after Christmas, most of the snow was gone and Jason and I kept saying that we wish it would snow...be careful what you wish for. Last night we got another 6 inches, and it's STILL snowing! :) I actually like the snow, but not the temperature. It'd be great if I could get Ellery out to play, but it's WAY too cold. I just took a picture of our weather station, complete with grubby little girl finger prints. Yep, right now it's a whopping 4 degrees outside, which is an improvement over to -9 that it said when we woke up. You'll also notice that the indoor temperature says 62.8. I had this sitting on my nightstand, and our bedroom is the coldest room in the house. The thermostat is on 68, and for the most part it's comfortable in the house. Luckily Ellery's room is the warmest room in the house.Ok, so I'm done complaining. Things have improved since my last post. We're all healthy, which is great! Ellery lost a few pounds while she was sick, but I'm happy to report that she's been eating like a horse lately and she's put all of the weight, and then some, back on! The last two nights she finally slept through the night again, after the flu she started cutting molars and got a great diaper rash to go with it! I can't remember if I mentioned that I've started working Monday's and Tuesday's for my dad. So far that's going well. My days go by quickly and I'm able to see Jason and Ellery at lunch. Grandma has been watching her at our house. Jason is in the final week of his weight loss challenge at work. He's been very disciplined for the last 10 weeks! He's lost 25+ lbs, and he's currently in the lead for percentage of weight lost. Now is main motivation is the money! There is a gun show this weekend, and he wants some extra money to spend! BUT, we'll both be happy when this is done. I think we'll both have a big 'ol cheeseburger on Saturday, if not Friday! Right now he's living on oatmeal, fruit and salads...occasionally he'll have 1/2 a chicken breast. Oh yeah, he also eats a lot of celery! LOL
This weekend Matt, Emily and Reagan are moving to Clinton. For the time being they're going to stay with mom and dad until they find a house. There's not much to pick from right now. Yesterday Emily, Reagan, Ellery and I signed up for Bubble Club swim classes at the YWCA. We start next Thursday. I have high hopes for the class, so hopefully Ellery enjoys it. We need some activities to get out of the house when it's so nasty outside. Storytime at the library also started up again, so we do that Tuesday mornings. Even though I work Tuesday, I go in late so I can take her to story time. Next week it's a pajama party so Ellery, and Reagan get to wear their jammies to the library!
On Saturday night, Custom-Pak had their holiday party. We're not sure why they have to so late, but they do it that way every year. Grandma watched Ellery, so Jason and I went out to dinner before the party. We had a great dinner and the party was actually pretty fun. I don't know, maybe we were both just happy to be out of the house with other adults! LOL Anyway, mom took our picture before we left the house.
