Jack's room

Jack's new room is pretty much done. Months ago we decided to get the fish bedding, so we took it from there. This is my interpretation of hunting and fishing for a little guy. I thought the idea was fun, but I didn't want to do camo. We have another vintage metal fishing rod to hang, and we need to paint a bookshelf that you can't even see in these photos. It's still purple from Ellery's room, and it's going to be chocolate brown. We tried 4 times to dye the rocking chair, without much luck. So, it's still a little pinky...even though we used about 20 bottles of chocolate brown dye on it. But, in the end, Jason decided the color was fine...we call it mocha! :)

We're anxious for his arrival...his due date is 3 weeks from tomorrow. We went to the doctor today, and not much is happening. We actually saw our nurse practitioner today, but next week we're seeing the doctor to start talking induction. There is a pretty good chance that I won't go into labor on my own...ever...so I'll probably have to be induced again. Everything is great and healthy, just my body is a bit odd....so it's looking more and more like induction.

One of two mobiles that we found online. This one is called North American Wildlife. You can also see the vintage fly rod and the rainbow trout that Sue Dahl painted for Jack's room.

This is our other mobile which is salmon and trout. Jason's little Jack needed this!

The bedding.

"Big Buck" as Ellery calls him. He's a puzzle made out of cardboard.

The crib. You can see his bedding and his custom "Jack" poster that matches his bedding.
