This weekend we celebrated Christmas with my family. We decided on Thursday evening that our Christmas would be on Saturday. Needless to say, there was a little bit of rush shopping. Matt, Em and Reagan were home for the last time before Christmas, so it was our only opportunity to have a Christmas together. Jason and I will be heading to Missouri in a little over a week and my parents are spending Christmas in Creston with my Matt and Em. On Saturday morning Ellery actually let us sleep in until 7:30! That felt great! I never thought I'd ever think 7:30 was "sleeping in"...but we've had so many days start at 5 AM that 7:30 is great! After hanging out at home for a few hours we headed out to my parents to spend the day. I was so excited for Ellery to open all of her presents.
Ellery, the fairy princess. Matt, Em and Reagan gave Ellery this adorable outfit. Her magic wand even makes sounds! She loved it. As soon as I put it on she ran into grandma and grandpas closet to look at herself in the mirror.
Playing with Reagan.
This picture is a little blurry, but it shows Ellery playing pretend.
Jason got a "fishing Santa" in his stocking. Ellery had a lot more fun with it than Jason did.
Daddy, Ellery and Chuck. Ellery got a new card from Grandma and Grandpa that "sings" to her. She thinks that every card should sing.
Jason and I gave this little digger to Reagan for Christmas. Ellery decided to try it out as well.
Reagan on his new digger. He doesn't look like he's having fun in this picture, but he was. He didn't want to get off of it all night and didn't want Ellery to touch it!Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, Matt, Emily, Reagan, Dr. Moore, Betty and Chuck for all the great loot! We must have been good this year. I didn't get pictures of everybody and all of the cute stuff that Ellery got. Grandma and Grandpa gave her her first snow suit. It's precious. I'll put it on her sometime this week and take her picture. Jason can hardly wait for the next snow so that he can take her sledding.
On Sunday Matt, Emily and Dad picked me up early to go look at a house for Matt and Em. It's only a few blocks from us, and it's owned by a guy that works with Jason. It's a FSBO, so Matt and Em brought the "big guns"...lol...AKA me. In a past life I used to help people find a home, so I was the most qualified to tag along this morning. The house was beautiful, perfect for Matt and Em. I think Emily fell in love with it on the spot....so keep your fingers crossed.
On a totally strange side note, I just noticed that it's only 18 outside....that wouldn't be such a big deal, but it was 40 something a few hours ago! LOL I think it's supposed to get down to 7 tonight...that's a little too cold.
I started working on Christmas cards today...so everyone should get one eventually...hopefully before Christmas. I'm having a hard time picking a picture this year. I don't have a great one in Ellery's Christmas dress...so I can't decide what to do. I'm thinking about sending one that is totally not Christmas. But I love her little dress we got her...hence why I haven't ordered pictures yet.
